A camping tale
I went to a family reunion In Sandy Utah this week. My children, their spouses, and children camped in Cottonwood Canyon at Tanneer Flats. By the time I got my hot vehicle to the campsite I decided I had died and this was as close to heaven as I was going to get. Lots of tents around and camp fires here and there, a water fall which by the kept me awake most of the night until I was so exhausted I went comatose for 20 minutes at a time until it woke me again.
A fellow camper came by our site and informed us that there was an epidemic of mice and to be sure to close every thing that had any thing to do with food "TIGHT"!!! No problem. I went to bed when the fire died out and we couldn't watch the mice scurrying about, thinking I was safe in a secure zipped up tight tent----WRONG---. The shoe compartment was open and about 2 hours after I had settled in and fainted from exhaustion, cold little feet "tripped-trapped" across my hand. Couldn't scream or I would have woke my camping buddies so beat my hand, sleeping bag, air mattress and the air with my fists and flashlight. I am not afraid of mice but this one snuck up on me. Next morning we found mice in the engines of the cars also. Hey I am glad it wasn't a BEAR!!!! Doris
