We're proud to announce that "Yes to Running! Bill Harley Live" won a Grammy in the Best Spoken Word Album for Children.
We want to especially thank everyone at Montana Public Television and Radio who helped to make this recording happen.

And how does Bill feel about winning:

"Surprised, honored, humbled, happy. I feel all of these things. Of course, no matter what you're thinking before ('I could win!', or 'I should win!', or 'There's no way I'll win!')- you're still surprised when someone calls your name. In this case, it was particularly pleasing to hear my two dear friends, Marcy Marxer and Cathy Fink, make the announcement. At a certain point, I have to stop paying attention to the little guys in my brain and instead listen to the voices of people around me affirming my work. I heard that. This was a very competitive category this year, and I know a lot of people had to vote for me. Thanks to them, and those who support me, and the couple generations of parents, kids and teachers who have put their trust in me.
Other highlights of the weekend include hanging out with Ezra and Keith of Trout Fishing in America (we introduced ourselves to Brenda Lee as her new band and she says she wants to make a kid's recording), having a long talk with the son of one of the Blind Boys of Alabama about gospel music, meeting Luther Gray, who does wonderful work with youth in New Orleans and seeing Kate Paxton accept the lifetime achievement award for her dad, Tom Paxton, who has had a huge influence on my work.
And then there's this reminder from a fan who sent an e-mail: "My husband and I were discussing your nomination earlier today and Emma (5) overheard us talking. She said, 'Doesn't Bill Harley already have a Grammy? Why does he need another one?'"
