Reviews & Memorable Quotes

"Champion yarn-spinner and tunesmith to the pre-teen set, Bill Harley has refused to grow up. Not the way most people grow up, anyway. Somewhere along the line he mastered a form of arrested development that's allowed him to maintain a kid's perspective of the way the world works - and doesn't work." The Washington Post

Hi!! I am a big fan of your stories. I am 8 years old and I am living in Norway for a year. I can recite almost all of The Great Sled Race!! "Whoa!" said Danny "Whoa!" said I "I think that I am going to die!' I looked at Danny he gave me a grin. 'I might die, but first I'll win!' And then he did it. He put on the after burners. What could I do I put mine on to! As my mom used to say "If he told you to jump of a cliff would you do it?" Guess I would! 'Cause I did! I can recite more, but not right now. I really like Philip in The Battle of the Mad Scientist. He kept eating the circus peanuts! I think it was funny that he threw up the color bright orange!! My family got a kick out of that. Also in the Great Sled Race: 'Oh yea?' I said "Oh Yea" said he. "Oh yea?" I said "Oh yea" he said. "Oh yea, oh yea! Oh yea, Oh yea! Oh yea, oh yea! Oh yea, Oh yea!!" I had better stop writing now. I hope this gets to you! Lena

"I love all of your songs, but I like {The Eeny Weeny Ghost} story. That was really funny how you scared all of us. It was probably the best story. Thanks!" From Angelina

"I really liked Mrs. Ammons and The Boys' Room. I liked the part when the kid got sucked up by the toilet." From Jeff
